One of our members, Eurogroup for Animals, is organizing a very interesting high-level panel event -> “The Intersection of Trade and Animal Welfare in Sustainable Food Systems“.

The event will be held virtually in parallel to the UN Food Systems Summit on September 21st, 2021 from 11:00-13:00 CET.

Highlighting the need to adequately address animal welfare as an essential component of sustainable food systems in bilateral and multilateral trade policies, this event will welcome expert speakers such as Pascal Durand (Member of the European Parliament), Jean-Marie Paugam (WTO Deputy Director-General in charge of the environment), Ignacio Bercero Garcia (Director in DG Trade, European Commission) and Claire Bury (Deputy Director-General in DG SANTE, European Commission), among other leading actors from diverse sectors.
